BCI release the notification for the Notification with regard to revised schedule of All India Bar Examination-XIX 

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced a revised schedule for the All India Bar Examination-XIX (AIBE XIX). The exam, originally scheduled for November 24, 2024, has been postponed and is now set to take place on December 22, 2024. Key dates in the updated schedule include:

  • Registration Deadline: November 15, 2024
  • Last Date for Payment: November 18, 2024
  • Correction Window for Registration: November 22, 2024
  • Admit Card Release: December 15, 2024

This extension provides additional time for candidates to complete registrations and make necessary corrections. AIBE XIX will be held in an offline format, and candidates must keep an eye on official notifications for any further updates or instructions. All India Bar Examination-2024

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XIX for 2024 is scheduled for November 24, 2024. This exam is mandatory for law graduates who wish to practice law in India and obtain the Certificate of Practice from the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Key details for AIBE XIX 2024:

  1. Registration Deadlines: The application window opened on September 3, 2024, and will close on October 25, 2024. The last date to pay the application fee is October 28, 2024.
  2. Exam Structure: AIBE is an open-book exam, consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions with no negative marking. The exam covers a wide range of legal subjects such as Constitutional Law, IPC, 1860/BNS-2023, CrPC, 1973/BNSS-2023, Evidence Act/BSA-2023, and more. The passing criterion is to secure at least 45 marks out of 100.
  3. Eligibility: Candidates must have completed a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree and be registered with a state bar council. Candidates awaiting their enrollment certificates or final year students are also eligible.
  4. Study Materials and Preparation: While the exam allows the use of books, it’s recommended to practice previous year papers and focus on key sections like Constitutional Law and Criminal Law. Time management during preparation is crucial.
